What is a whip?
People tend to think of a whip as a "Tool for causing pain"
For most of history the whip has indeed endured a tawdry reputation for being a device of torture in non-consensual situations of varying degrees of disrepute.
From the deck a schooner in the hand of a disciplinarian to the Spanish inquisition, whips have been seen in art, literature and drama as a device to cause misery and to make a strong point with a human being.
Fast Forward: It's the year 2006, the fucking FUTURE people! In this modern day and age there are thousands of people around the world who are reclaiming the whip as a tool for their own ENJOYMENT.
For many if not most, this is a consensual re-contextualization of the pain that can come from whipping. The use of pain has a wide range of motivations, styles and formats depending upon the players in question.
